Big tower

The archetype for this "Leyk" model is the town's landmark of "Esslingen", where Ursula Leyk sold the first illuminated houses in 1982.  It was a big success, thus she and her husband decided to start their own company, the "Leyk Lichthäuser", founded in 1983.  Today the round tower high above the town is a restaurant.

The "Big Tower" is a replica of a typical fortification tower in medieval towns and as they can be seen for example at the ancient wall of Nuremberg. For this model we recreated wall bricks and ancient wood construction for the first time.  "Leyk" is very creative in manufacturing historical buildings, mostly with timber wood constructions, sometimes without them, but in any case we guarantee you 100% hand-crafted and made in Germany.
